The basis of our cuisine is mainly Spanish and Catalan cuisine, which includes rice, tapas, salad, vegetables and fish. We have also incorporated some dishes from our Moroccan neighbors. Our cuisine is made with fresh products and we want to offer traditional food of good quality at a good price. The cook moves to Villa Iris and with the exception of the buffets, she prepares the food directly in the Villa. The rice is prepared in a very large paella pan over a flame of fire. The cook prepares the table in the Villa and serves the food. Cleaning up the table after eating and dessert is not included. During the meal we only serve our own wines, cavas (spanish sparkling wine) and other drinks which you have to pay apart. You can request the full service with cleaning up the table for an extra cost per person. Please make your request as soon as possible in advance, especially in case of weekends. It is essential to clean up the kitchen and to have all crockery and cutlery clean before the cook arrives in order to be able to offer the meal service. The food is paid directly to the cook in cash after lunch or dinner.
You should know, that in Spain we have infinite rice dishes and we are probably the country with more varieties of rice dishes with different flavors. In Spain we almost use only round rice for all our dishes, just like the Italians for their risottos. Quite the contrary to Indian cuisine for example, which use to cook almost only with elongated and/or basmati rice. You also should know that between one good paella and one bad paella there is one big difference. Many tourist restaurants are damaging the image of our kitchen with half prefabricated paellas. Our paella is an authentic spanish paella with fresh ingredients, like all other dishes we offer here.

Please note, that this rice is more similar to one risotto with the exeption that there is no cheese in it. The lobster is only to give the taste. One of our best plates.

This dish was born from a fisherman in Catalonia who wanted to make a paella one day and did not have any rice, only fideos, which he used instead of rice
The favorite one of most spanish people, but very daring for a lot of tourists because of its color. But the squid ink gives a unique and special taste to this rice. It is essential to eat it accompanied by a good aioli. The other ingredients are the same as those of a paella. It is also served with spring salad (tomato, lettuce, onion), bread with typical spanish sweet red pepper, bread with tomato, olive oil and garlic (catalán style).
We offer a wide assortment of fresh tapas which will be prepared directly at Villa Iris. The tapas are consumed as in a bar, according to how they come out of the kitchen. The assortment includes: Patatas Bravas, calamar, fried fish, chistorra, seafood salat, spanish omelette, typical spanish green peppers (pimientos al padrón), red pepper on bread with anchovy, bread with tomato, olive oil and garlic, mushrooms with garlic and parsley. Please note, that some plates are imposible to translate. You have to know about tapas, that they use to be shared and all people eat from the same plate in the middle of the table.
We offer 2 buffets with a wide range of dishes which will be installed on the kitchen dining table. In the case of vegetarians and in case of gluten intolerance the varied buffet is a good option, apart from the vegetable paella. There are dishes for everyone, vegetarian, gluten intolerant or people who can eat everything. The buffet includes: Gazpacho, bread with tomato (catalán style), spanish omelette, lentil salad, artichoke heart with spanish ham, cutted ham directly from shoulder, Mallorcan tumbet, pasta salad, melon with ham and bread with red pepper and anchovies. We reserve us the right to change some dishes according to the season.
The Buffet Mediterranean Barbecue includes rice with ratatouille (pisto), grilled fish of the day with Mediterranean sauce (olive oil, garlic, parsley), roasted potatoes, tomato salat with cheese or with avocado, bread with tomato (catalán style). The fish will be prepared on the outside grill of the house. For those who do not love fish, you can choose as well brochette of chicken and/or pincho moruno (typical spanish meet by influence of marrocco).
The Buffet Gourmet Barbecue includes roasted potatoes, grilled skewers of beef sirloin (… grams), mallorcan tumbet, tabulet and sautéed artichokes with soy sauce. You can choose between different flavors of beef sirloins, We have sirloin skewers with Mexican, American or curry flavor.
Authentic Moroccan barbecue with skewers of minced meat and chicken with special Moroccan adobe. It is served with home-made Moroccan bread and three typical Moroccan vegetable dishes, such as zaalouk (tepid aubergine salad), tepid zucchini salad and tepid red and yellow pepper salad with lemon confit.
