Immerse yourself in two different worlds at the same time!
Our spa is a Moroccan-German fusion, since the owner of Villa Iris is German and her partner is Moroccan. Two worlds so different, but equal at the same time. Just as Moroccans cannot live without their hammam, Germans cannot live without their sauna. Forget all the spas and saunas you’ve visited at gyms or hotels. Our panoramic sauna works with a wood stove. This already makes a big difference with other saunas and also relaxing in the outdoor Moroccan patio and refreshing in the heated pool is very different from the usual indoor spas. This is essential for cooling the body that is not achieved in an indoor spa. Another difference is the integrated speakers in the sauna cabine with relaxing music and the fact that our saunas are guided by sauna masters, just like in Germany. You will not find anything like it anywhere in Spain. It is a unique and different experience. Before starting the session, we all meet half an hour before in our sauna reception with Moroccan decoration to distribute the bathrobes and explain the entire sauna process. It is very important to shower with soap and wash or wet your hair before the sauna and not after as most people think. After the sauna we shower only with water because of the skin’s ph.
Guided sauna with aromatherapy
Let yourself be seduced by our sauna masters!
Enjoy our spa with open-air Arab bath and heated pool with waterfall, panoramic sauna with wood oven, meditation music and aromatherapy. Our sauna masters introduce you to the German aromatherapy sauna ritual. The sauna is guided and lasts about 3 hours, consists of 3 saunas per group and is included in the price. Our staff will come about 2 hours before the start of the sauna and light the fire in the sauna, prepare 3 types of detox water with different aromas, such as lemon, ginger and cucumber and at the end of the 3 saunas, we serve Moroccan tea. with fresh mint and Moroccan sweets. We also offer you bathrobes. The sauna master practices aromatherapy using natural oils with very intense odors.
And between Sauna and Sauna?
Into the water!
Between sauna and sauna it is very important to refresh the body and immerse yourself in cold water. Do not be afraid. You don’t have to go to a freezing pool, but in winter you can enjoy our heated pool that we have heated to around 27 degrees. In the Arab patio you have the possibility to cool your body outside before entering the next sauna. It is also of utmost importance to properly hydrate between different saunas. For this reason we have prepared 3 types of totally natural detox water for you: Water with lemon, cucumber and ginger.
Moroccan tea with fresh mint and Moorish sweets
The best always comes last!
Sit in our luxurious Moroccan lounge and enjoy our tea with fresh mint and Moorish sweets. At the end of the 3 saunas, you always get a little hungry and you want something warm. After the last sauna we open the door to the sauna and the pleasant warmth penetrates the entire room, such as in the reception and in the Moroccan lounge. Let yourself be wrapped in this warm and luxurious environment that makes it easy for you to fully relax after the last sauna. In spring and autumn, with a more pleasant temperature, we serve tea on the benches of the Moroccan patio outside. Until next time?
