Hello, my name is Gemma. I started practicing Yoga in 1992, when I lived in Australia for a year. I was very curious about yoga as it made me feel good every time I practiced it. In 1994 I got a little deeper into the world of yoga since I lived in London for two years and at that time, yoga was very fashionable.
My interest continued to grow to the point of traveling to India to practice in a temple daily for three months. The method I learned there was Ashtanga Yoga, but I although studied many types of other yoga.
On my return to Spain I searched carefully until I found the Iyengar Yoga Center in Barcelona, for me one of the most positive experiences in the world of yoga. I studied for three years the technique and precision of the master Iyengar, who gave me extensive knowledge in postural alignment.
After years teaching classes in sports clubs and health centers in Barcelona, I continued with my personal training in the world of yoga and took a 200-hour course for the title of Dynamic Yoga Teacher. During these last 20 years that I have been teaching, at the same time I have been attending workshops in Barcelona and London, which have been enriching my knowledge. I use to teach Hatha Vinyasa Yoga, but as I have studied many types of yoga, such as, Iyengar, Ashtanga and Dynamic Yoga, and I can adapt the classes to the needs and levels of each group.
Teaching Yoga and being able to transmit all the good energy, as well physical as mental, gives me great personal satisfaction.
